WordPress is free, but the frameworks at the heart of my WordPress-based development methodology are NOT free, and they’re not cheap. Some of the added functionality modules are free through WordPress, but we had to purchase others. We bought the frameworks and functional modules with “developer’s licenses” that allow us to integrate them into all the websites we develop, but which often require ongoing paid subscriptions (which we pay). We’re always evaluating, accumulating and updating the unique sets of added-functionality modules to meet our clients’ specific operational and “coolness” site requirements. Sure, it has cost us money and continues to cost us money. But we consider it an investment in the satisfaction of our clients, so it’s well worth it!
We’ve got experience finding our way around the frameworks and themes. We’re fluent in CSS, so we know just where to go to apply the design tweaks that will make your website, well… YOUR website!
